i cant find that warm tone :(

im looking for a type of warm tone similar to what dirk lance (FORMER, bass player of incubus) has

i've got a bergantino 610 and svt3pro

ive been messing with the EQ settings a lot and can't find it :/

anyone care to give me some eq suggestions?

As far as EQ settings, set your amp flat, try boosting your mids a little.

With the SVT-3pro, you won't neccesarily get SVT warm, its a solid state amp. A cheap $20 fix you could do is get a tube preamp and run it into your amp

Your amp already has a tube preamp, and a nice one at that. Warm tone can be had from solid state heads. I agree with mikerschutz above, set the eq flat, boost your mids. Also, a tube compressor like the Black Finger, (bassmec) is also a great idea. That pedal could warm up an SWR amp. Otherwise, maybe you should define what you think a warm tone is.

Use hardly any, just try to get good string balance if you need to cut the midrange to make your sound rounder do that, leave the bass guitar eq as flat as you can stand it, if its active. If its passive only roll off just enough top on the tone control so the bass sounds right with the amp eq
flat.
PS EQ is nothing like the same effect as compression, good compression and correct use of makeup gain can really fat up
a thin bass sound without touching the EQ.
Remember boosting a frequency band in an active eq changes phase relationships and masks and muddies other frequencies.
So the less you use the more solid your bass sound.

PS There is nothing wrong with your cabs frequency response in the first place. After all Mr Bergatino is not known for his mistakes.

That makes more sense, I could never get a warm sound with the 4PRO. You can get a round slightly warm sound by boost thing bass and mids slightly to about 1 o'clock and cutting the treble to about 10 o'clock.

I would also cut 5Khz and 8Khz on the Graphic EQ.
