Years ago I was set up in the basement workshop, my keyboard and computer next to the furnace. When recording with a microphone I had to wait until the furnace shut off. Luckily now I'm in another basement room that I have all to myself.

I cleaned up the music corner!

Years ago I was set up in the basement workshop, my keyboard and computer next to the furnace. When recording with a microphone I had to wait until the furnace shut off. Luckily now I'm in another basement room that I have all to myself.
Nice, Peter! My brother has to turn his furnace off to record vocals in his basement studio.
This is what it looks like today. It can be completely different on any other day.
I sure hope my wife doesn’t come across this or my day is going to be shot…LOL.
this is my little practice room, game room, man cave, whatever.
left corner is for moving air, corner on the right is for headphone practice and watching football.

Mine is a simple Harley Benton Block-300B with headphones and audio in from my phone. The bass is random from the few I own. All of this is in about 10 sq feet of space.
More amps/pedals/rack stuff/spare cab in my closet, but this is the back of my living room/bass corner:
Love this, well done. If I had a basement, that is exactly what I would do.
You could just get a crap cab for that location. Like the Ashdown 112 in the lower right corner of the original photo I posted. I only have it sitting there because it's a convenient place to park my robot.

We rehearse at my drummer’s house, and I hear that ‘I’m good now, after this one’ frequently… at one point, this was the view from ‘the best seat in the house’

Nice little setup you have there. My music corner is also a section of our "bonus room", which used to be half of a two car garage. It's a convenient spot for music equipment as it's one of the few rooms in my 1961 home that has all grounded outlets. Unfortunately it's also inconvenient as it's the room where my kids play with toys and watch TV, which limits the amount of time during the day I can play (thank goodness for headphones!)
I've considered getting myself a Vox Amplug or a Zoom B14 so I can more easily move my practice to a different room.
I did indeed. Even knowing full well that you lot would humble my little space. It's fun to see though!well, he did ask.
My space is an attic above the garage that I remodeled several years ago. It's in flux now, as we are preparing for a move. At the heart of it is a standing desk that serves several functions: guitar work bench, practice/study desk, office desk. I was making more modifications to the desk to better suit my needs, but the move put a temporary kink in those plans.
It started out as this:
I was thrilled to have that much space to work with, even though the roofline is frustratingly goofy.

It's been a great space, but I always wished it had windows(!) Hopefully the next place will provide a little more to work with

Our house is a little unusual. It has two permanent ("normal") bedrooms; one is our main master bedroom and the other was set up as a guest room. We then have a large space that has a folding sectional wall, kind of like in an office conference room, so that we can have it opened up into one large space, or divided into two smaller rooms. As there were only two of us living here when we bought the house, we used to have this open, and it was set up with a TV, couch and study desk at one end, and all my music gear at the other end; bass amp and cab, basses, small guitar amp, one electric guitar, one acoustic guitar, a keyboard and a drum machine.
During the first Covid lockdown a couple of years ago, we were both working from home full time, so we chose to divide the room, and I had a combination work office and music room on the larger side, and my wife had her office on the smaller side.
Then mid-last year, my daughter moved home after the breakup of a long term bad relationship. She is living in our guest room and the entire contents of her old two bedroom flat are stacked floor to ceiling, wall to wall, in what was my office. Everything except my bass gear is now in a hall cupboard, and what's left is wedged into the smaller office, which you might also notice contains a foldout couch so doubles (triples?) as a guest bedroom.
I'm not in any hurry for my daughter to move out - I really want her to get back to a good place mentally and financially - but I am really looking forward to getting my music room back!
@scottfeldstein : Are you OK having your basses in front of the window like that? I had an Ibanez SR 5 string that used to sit on a stand in front of a window, and after many months, the sunlight definitely caused discolouration to the natural wood finish.
