Oh, yes, that's true. The Delta Heaven-bound flight is all first-class, booked well in advance, and leaves at 11:00 AM every Sunday. :angel:

The one to Hell is an hourly shuttle you can walk up and catch pretty much any time. :laugh:

I've been tracking a UPS shipment online all day through their "Follow My Delivery". The truck stopped two blocks away from me, then went about five miles away, then stopped about three houses away from me, and is now it on the other side of the highway. I often question how they decide on which order to deliver packages, especially when they back track so much.

I ordered a external hard drive from Best Buy with a gift card. It was suppose to come in today. It shipped out of Macon Georgia which is about thirty minutes north of me. It's in wrightsville Georgia now way above Atlanta.

The last thing I shipped was to Virginia . It went to Virginia and then another state before coming back to Virginia to be delivered.

I ordered a Stagg EUB that was delivered to a post office two miles from me, was returned 60 miles away and returned to me three days later. I was late by a couple of hours picking it up the day it was 2 miles away. "Oh, it's on the truck back to the terminal." damn.

In heaven anything you order will go directly from the manufacturer's packaging line to your hands. In the rest of the universe you can gripe about the routing even though that el weirdo routing results in a much lower shipping cost than direct delivery would do. I've quoted Malcolm Forbes many times around here: "It's so much easier to suggest solutions when you don't know too much about the problem."

The hub and spoke model for shipping and for air travel is hell on us passengers but, sadly, it works quite well despite our discomfort.

Drivers usually pick up and drop of to a depot for sorting, then the item is shipped from depot to destination. I know it seems weird but it's not a point to point pickup/delivery.
You should try and get something from Sweden, my parcel basically travelled the world to get to Australia but I didn't care, it didn't cost much to have it shipped. Makes me wonder why holidays are so expensive...
