Like I said, they're equals. Both makers build top-shelf stuff.
I always remember the day I avoided a near disaster. I had saved for a good while to buy an Alembic and of course prayed that it would still be in the store when I had the money. The day finally came, went to buy it and made the serendipitous decision to play some of the Pedullas they had. Never gave the Alembic another look. This was at one of the original Guitar Centers it was on Milwaukee Ave in Chicago, that was a truly awesome store. Pedullas are awesome and that is a great deal, congrats Doc!!!

One thing...when you get some extra funds, get a case that fits better...freakin' me out with all that extra space!
My Ibanez got kicked to the curb because the Pedulla is in the Mono gigbag. I think I may end up with a Mono double gigbag.
