i hate beer

i just do. i thought i wanted one the other night so i got me one. it was the first beer i had in over 25 years, i hated it then and i still hate it. i had to choke the damn thing down, literally. lucky for me the place i was at served pepsi so the night was not a total loss. how many more beer haters we got out there or am i the only one?

24 beers in a case. 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? I don't think so! I love beer, but not American beer. I lived in England too long, and am spoiled by english/irish/scots types of ale. The growth of micro breweries was the best thing ever happened to beer in America, some brewers get damn close.

I've really been enjoying this since I visited Portland a little while ago. Just picked up a twelver of it yesterday. 11.99. Pretty good deal, if I don't mind saying so.

Good stuff! But damn if it's not $13-15 around here.

May I ask what kind of beer you ordered? Cheap beers just don't taste good.

This is a fine example of an excellent beer.

I love the hoppiness of this beer....come to think of it I've never met a Deschutes beer I didn't like.

Been digging on Elysians lately too. The Immortal IPA is so refreshing.

Alas I'm on a pain killer regimen for a bout with Pleurisy, so I have to lay off the sauce for 2 weeks :atoz:

I'm not a beer drinker either. Tried it when I was a young'n, but never really developed the taste for it. "Beer is an acquired taste". I don't get that. You either like it or you don't.

But, I always have it the back of my mind that I simply haven't had a good beer yet. Maybe my taste are refined and it's the typical beer that has ruined it for me. Meh, whatever. I still go for mixed drinks when I'm out. I'll like Smirnoff Ice, too. Coffee on the other hand. Love it.

You obviously don't live in Portland!!!!

Swill is swill.

Micro Brews are a whole nother thing.

Bridgeport, Deschutes are at the top. Bread in a bottle!

I really never liked it all too much. I would drink it just to get trashed at parties and make it a little easier to mingle with the ladies. If I did drink it I just grabbed an oil can of Fosters or a 40 of OE or Mickeys. I am, however, proud to say I haven't touched the stuff, or any alcoholic beverage for that matter, since 1994. Yay for me.
