I'm kind of fond of MacTarnihan as well, and when I want a stout, Pike Street is the only thing even close to a Guinness.

Do I have to come to Finland to taste it? Ah, what the hey, I've gone worse places for not nearly as nobel a quest.

What can I say, I was raised by european parents. Alcohol is a fact of life in my family. There's not a soul I'm related to who doesn't drink, and not a single problem drinker among them. It helps when your parents start train you to appreciate wine and beer when you're under 10 years old.

Problem #1. Someone may have slipped you a Bud light or some other equally dreadful diet pisswater, which imo hardly qualifies as beer to begin with.
Blech. Good god, I have been to many places where the only beer served was bud and bud light and instantly volunteered to be the designated driver for the evening. I'd rather not drink if it's going to be bud light.
Even Bud Lite (which is horrible) is better than DD! Miller Lite I'm actually a big fan of. It's not first choice, but it's tasty for a mass produced American crap beer.Blech. Haha! Ditto right there. Except I could also tell the difference between different flavors of shnapps while it was fermenting by the time I was four.
I use to work in a micro brewery for a short while... in 1988-89. Vernon Valley Brewery.... it's long since history but there is a some write ups online. The guy who taught me to brew, how to taste the adjuncts in other beers... just a really cool guy to hang with in general passed away last year. Invalid Link Removed
I'm just not a beer drinker. I like a nice cold lager on a hot summer day or a something a little thicker in the winter but if I have 6 beers in a year it's a lot.

I have a micro micro brewery at home. Production capacity full-out would be about 20 gallons a week, if I had time.
Here's what I took with me to Burning Man last year:
