I want another one someday, but I want one of the ones without the binding. There was a blue one in a local store that was so beautiful.

When you state something is overated and overpriced what you doing is making a passive aggressive statement that people who buy and play them are ignorant to the fact that they cost to much and don't sound as good as their owners think they do.
Statements like that are insulting and you're going to get a reaction. Say "I don't like the Rics because they are hard to play and don't sound that great. That's an opinion."
Hey, that's just my opinion
I have 4 Rics and they're all different; they play, sound and feel different.

i don't know ric had such issues with quality control.![]()
....I have 4 Rics and they're all different; they play, sound and feel different.
Now now, it's all very well having differences of opinion but when the thread spirals down into personal insults then your own credibility is up for criticism....which tells someone like me that you're clinically brain dead.
I agree, but they are beautiful.

I played my first one today. Right off the bat it was extremely uncomfortable to play. I hated the neck. I just couldnt get used to the neck. The pickup guard was in the way of me playing. I put it up after about a minute of fiddling with it. I can honestly say know, that I will NEVER own a Rick. They are overpriced and overrated. Anybody feel the same way?
