I just bought a T-40!

For $75! Woo-freaking-hoo! (man, I love CL)

It looks to be in decent condition. The pickup selector switch is broken but otherwise it looks fine. I'm picking it up this weekend so this is the only pic I've got for now. I'll post my review and more pix when I get it. I can't wait!

I've played a couple of them in the past but didn't want to spend $300. I've been searching CL for a few months now. I knew one would turn up sooner or later. Yeah, I know they're a bit on the heavy side but that doesn't bother me.

So what kind of strings is everyone running on them? I've got flats on my P but not sure what goes best on these.

I've got one of mine strung BEAD with Blue Steels and some cheap sh1t MF brand string on my EADG one. Rounds.

Currently D'Addario XL somethings. I got a box of them cheap. I like EB Stainless, so they'll probably be next.

Sorry, but that's the guy. :( I emailed him last night and called and paid him this morning. I'm going to pick it up either tomorrow or Saturday.

I'm not taking the violin if that's any consolation.

Well, no. I can say that I'm fairly ticked off at the guy. I really wanted the T-40, the violin just happend to be there and my daughter wants one for Christmas.

He's supposed to contact me with info on the violin. I think I'll be telling him to shove it where the sun don't shine.

But as far as you scoring it, that's awesome. I've always wanted one too. Enjoy the heck out of it. It's funny, This is the second time a fellow TBer has beaten me to the punch on a Craigslist find.

Small world indeed.
