By the way, do I really have to wear my retainer as much as they say? I can understand the first month having to wear it a lot, and I can even understand wearing it at night, but they honestly expect me to wear it for a few nights a week for the rest of my life? I'm sorry, but I was unaware I was getting into a lifetime commitment when I signed up for this. Definitely was not in the contract.

BTW, I didn't wear my retainer nearly as much as I should when I got my braces off. Originally I only had braces to get rid of an overbite, but then when I started not wearing my retainer, my bottom teeth got crooked! I was pissed, but there is nothing I can do about it now. The general rule is to wear the retainer till your 18, I suggest doing it.

Oh, pish posh. You don't need to wear your retainer unless you think your teeth still arent locked in place.
I had to wear a night brace (its this ridiculously stupid looking thing that goes around your head. like the thing the classic "nerd" wears.) every night for like a year. It was horrible. Truly a disgusting sight.
