I Know Everybody Talks About Having Too Many Bass'! How About Bass Rigs?

Quality is more important than quantity...

BUT my friend there is a certain quality in quantity.
I'm guilty. I'm a three rig guy:
- '91 Ampeg SVT-II nonpro 300wt all-tube into a Berg NV610 cab
- '73 Ampeg V4B 100wt all-tube into a Fliptops 4x10 cab
- '73 Ampeg B25B 50wt all-tube into an LDS 4x10 cab
Three bands, so I have to have 3 rigs - and something for backup...

The GBE 1200 matches perfect with the Tecamp L 810, so does the Ampeg SVP Pro + the TA 1400 MK-X - poweramp. I love the tone of the Peavey-Fullstack, it is the best
"no-Ampeg-Ampeg-sound" I ever heard.
The LM II is fine for smaller gigs, together with the SWR Workingman 212''-cab.
I giged a long time with my SWR Redhead and my custom built 410''-cab. The cab brings all the mids I am missing from the Redhead.
The Ibanez Promethean is my "to go"-combo. I practise with it alone in my living room, and I carry it to all sessions or small bar gigs.

That was a year and a half ago. Since then I've only added another BRX10.2NEO and a BX250. Still loving my Carvin stuff.
'Tis 5 rigs for me right now. 'Twas 6 until I actually sold one a few months ago (Peavey Combo 300). Why so many? I 'on't know. Too lazy to get off my a** to sell stuff, I guess. Two is all I really need.

Those are the only two bass preamps I do (or ever have owned)! I'd call my BATT a preamp but it's almost a glorified pedal. It doesn't put out enough juice to run a power amp IME.

LOVE that Traynor rig!!! I played one like that (2 cabs) all through the 80s. God, that was a good rig!!!
I use three rigs - Ampeg SVT4Pro with a 610 cab
MarkBass CMD 121P

And, as a backup - Acoustic 370 (just in case!)
DAMN!!! I forgot the 7Pro! Guess we have too many when we forget them......... :-(
