I know we all joke about our Sweetwater engineers…

But mine is retiring after over two decades with the company.

Given that we go back eight plus years, it is definitely going to take some adjustment. Heck, I’ve even sent him clips of the gear I’ve bought through him in use.

I have to say that if you get someone great, Sweetwater’s sales model makes a ton of sense.
Robby Resnick has been my Sweetwater guy since 2008. If you need a new one, I highly recommend him. He's been a tremendous help to me over the years and helps take the guesswork out of buying basses online. If there's a bass I'm interested in (a nice one, not a cheap one) I've asked him to pull it from the warehouse and play it while I'm on the phone with him so I can get his real-world feedback how it sounds and plays, he'll take more photos for me, etc., which is all a huge help. And sometimes he steers me away from the bass if he doesn't think it's up to snuff. I don't know if all their guys provide this level of service but Robby does and for 15 years he's been "my guy." Just an FYI if you're looking.

Will Newbill has been selling me gear and helping to educate me about new gear/concepts for a decade.

I sing his praises and those of SW in general, every chance I get.

I absolutely LOVE my Sweetwater sales engineer. We even follow each other on IG and will sometimes just text each other back and forth about non-music related stuff. And let me tell you, if I have a question that I can't research and find a solid answer myself? He's got the answer. Always. I have even hooked up my friends with him so that we all have the same sales engineer.
