I know we all joke about our Sweetwater engineers…

I've had good luck and been through a few sales engineers over the years. I have received many Bits o'Honey and even been shipped a jar of nothing but Bits o'Honey once. No unusual questions on returns. Cooperation. Succinct communication (I prefer email and text for the paper trail). Discounts on larger, combined purchases. I like Sweetwater...I may be biased, as I love Bits o'Honey more.

I don't buy a lot from Sweetwater, but I do enjoy being connected to someone who actually has my account. I get good customer service from them every single time, whether buying a half dozen packs of strings, or a fairly major purchase.

I've never had any meaningful relations with the SWSE's (only buy from them every few years). But I have been shopping there since the 90s (they were my only available source for certain studio gear back then). And now I'm intrigued with this BOH candy... is it really worth (CAD)$85 a pound? :)

Nich Magnani is my sales engineer. He is outstanding!
Very knowledgeable and extremely quick in response to take care of my needs.
I highly recommend him if someone needs a quality person to deal with.

Today was my first chat with mine, super friendly and helpful! There’s something to be said about good customer service.

Had some issues with a “new” bass last year on Amazon (never again), and usually a meh experience with GC (we switched locations and it’s been ok). Sweetwater is definitely my favorite; hopefully I’ll get to have a tech for that long :D

Ian Lemberg is excellent, he always goes above and beyond. He actually called me up to set me up with something I only mentioned in conversation a couple months ago while dealing with a return, which it seemed like he dropped everything he was doing and took care of getting me a return label. He even called me while emailing me the label. I’m sure they all take notes while they are talking to you on the phone but I was definitely surprised someone other than the ads on my phone pointed me in the direction of something I wanted.

Robby Resnick has been my Sweetwater guy since 2008. If you need a new one, I highly recommend him. He's been a tremendous help to me over the years and helps take the guesswork out of buying basses online. If there's a bass I'm interested in (a nice one, not a cheap one) I've asked him to pull it from the warehouse and play it while I'm on the phone with him so I can get his real-world feedback how it sounds and plays, he'll take more photos for me, etc., which is all a huge help. And sometimes he steers me away from the bass if he doesn't think it's up to snuff. I don't know if all their guys provide this level of service but Robby does and for 15 years he's been "my guy." Just an FYI if you're looking.
Robby sounds like the guy I needed when I bought my Epiphone from them.
