My guy was beyond awsome, then he moved up the chain a d I got a new guy. He's about as useless as a MF guy. I've definitely spent way less there since this happened
Their 55-point check. What a joke.
They will call you for the rest of your life to ask how things are going with the set of strings you purchased 10 years ago. It’s beyond helpful and certainly annoying for my level of shopping with them. I could see that level of contact being more desirable if you regularly buy gear.
I have found them all to be kind and accommodating. Love Sweetwater but would prefer a custom shop all bit-o-honey candy pack.
All this love for sales engineers. I bought a few instruments over the pandemic lockdown from them and I must say, I guess I got the dud. Couldn’t answer basic questions, wouldn’t weigh basses for me, I just stopped shopping there.
All I need are 1) good selection, 2) good price, 3) fast shipping and 4) good return policy. I don’t need sales engineers in my life.
All that.
"Sales Engineers" is an affront to anyone who is an actual mechanical, structural, aerospace, chemical, etc. engineer and undergone the rigor of the classwork and training. It is an attempt to confer status onto what is just a sales position, much as Walmart changing the cashiers into "Customer Service Associates". Yes, the Sweetwater guys have to do the front-end and continuing training, but they are still trained salesmen.. not engineers.
Ever had Laffy Taffy where the wrapper doesn’t stick to the taffy? Me neither.Bleech! Laffy Taffy, all the way!!!
