I need a 12 step program for my Finger Ease addiction

Calm down, big guy. I live in North Carolina. Nobody has more trailer parks than we do. It was just geographically plausible and yet "a far piece" away from here, making it.....you know.....funny? .....waking up with an ugly....guitar? The location is what you found "odd"?

Your trailer parks wouldn't last a day in our trailer parks. And our ugly stuff tries to get makeovers to look more like your ugly stuff.

Would it make you feel better if I made it.....say.....a trailer park in New York? A tiki hut in Apalachicola?

Honestly, can we not look under every rock for an excuse to be offended in a fun thread?

Normally, I'm the last person to be offended, and I get tired of those who live to be offended. And I get what you are saying about North Carolina.

BUT.. Get ready to do some cypherin'... how many North Carolina redneck, cracker, hick, etc. "Jokes" have you been exposed to lately?

A tiny scratch or bump, I'd pay it no mind. The 68,000th tiny bump or scratch in the same place, and that area is getting a bit sensitive. Alabama is a great place, with a lot of great people. And a few idiots. Just like everywhere else. Nothing personal, Two Fingers, come see me. Bring some North Carolina beer and I'll bring some Alabama beer (or some of my homebrew) and we'll compare our hick states and laugh about it.

A Unfunded Study done at the South Hampton Institute of Technology has produced conclusive evidence that 100% of people who use Finger Ease will die.
all I can say about the South Hampton Institute of Technology their full of it . I'm a graduate of the Fillmore University of Central Kansas , IT department and a unfunded study shows just as many people that don't us finger ease also die !!!

Why, Toaster, did you just ask me on a date? :roflmao:

I understand what you're saying though. We have Duke University and research Triangle Park (some of the highest tech companies on Earth there) and we get picked on as dumb hicks. And everybody knows the real dumb hicks live in South Carolina. :roflmao:

I'm going to run and hide now. Carry on slick finger people!

Not a date... not that there's anything wrong with that. Just beers and BS, LOL!!

Be careful, you are going to get your eyes pecked out by them Gamecocks!

Try a quart of automatic transmission fluid and a small brush - or move right on up to a bathtub full you can just drop the whole bass in every couple of songs. Naturally there's going to be the agonizing choice of which brand of ATF, but I don't want to start that discussion...

Of course, once you have the bathtub-full you may find that you just wanna leave the bass in the bathtub and play it fully immersed.

I'm still waiting for someone to say "WD40", and then someone else saying "it's bad for your neck", and then someone else saying "I've done it for years and my neck is fine".

I use WD40 for many things--not on my guitars and basses, though. However, a few years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my neck---vertebrae C4-7.

So yeah---I'm going out on a limb here by saying that it's bad for your neck.

Very nice Joe!!! You make me feel like a rookie, even though I've been brewing for 20 years! Here's my rig. That's not me in the pic, just a wandering homebrewer. It's a humble little 10 gallon HERMS system, but I've won medals 4 times with beers that I brewed using it.

We should start a "Bassin' and Brewin"' thread!

Nice! Mine might be shiny and flashy, but it's only RIMS, not HERMS. To non-homebrewers, that is like comparing a four string to a six string bass. I have never competed but folks seem to like my beer. Maybe it's just cause it's free. :)

I am in with the new thread!

In the picture of my rig, the keg in the foreground has a stainless 3/8" coil immersed in hot water, and you can see the pump on the wooden stand. The keggle in the background is my boiling pot. So as not to hijack the thread, I'm starting the thread now. I'll edit and post a link.

Snort - 10 gallon aluminum pot, canning element, immersion coil, and a closet fulla carboys. Well, I guess there is the fancy-pants pump. I don't send beer/mead/cider to competitions, but whatever floats your boat. 4 kinds of hops in the yard (fuggles, saaz, tettnang, hallertuer) which will inform the enlightened brewer about where my tastes trend (let's just say that a certain currently popular style is not me, in spades.)

(Bass analogy wise, that's an SX with two strings missing...)

That's awesome. I am enjoy an IPA every now and then but I'm not a hop head, either. I think the whole IPA thing has gotten a bit out of control and so many awesome styles have been overlooked during the craft beer explosion.
