Apart from the Aria basses John used to play...

Although the Kubicki is undoubtedly a geeky bass because of it's features and whatnot, I loved mine when I had it. It was an amazing bass. I never linked it with Duran Duran though, it always reminded me of Vail Johnson and Stuart Hamm.

that is a cool bass guitar, I know clear stuff is looked down upon but I think on that one is quite nice.

Why not get something that feels, plays, and sounds good while some people think it's geeky. I personally think this bass is cool, but it does have some geeky personality to it.
