Here you go:

I have one with rounds, one with tapes and two with flats.
Each has a different kind of pickup.
Two have maple fingerboards, two have rosewood
One has an ash body, 3 are alder
2 have a modern C-shape neck profile, the other 2 have different vintage profiles
2 are tobacco burst, two are sunburst
And, yes, 2 have tort pickguards
If you then factor in other differences such as colour, hardware, string count, fretted or not, with all probable combinations, you can easily justify the need for a huge collection!
Go for it!

For years I could never get along with a P. Probably never had the right one. Now I can't get enough of them. Only one is an old Fender. A couple Nash, 55 and 57, G&L LB100 and a Moollon. But they are all Ps to me. All sound great.
