I ordered a Noguera 9-string ...

Well excuuuuse me Funkize You. Just trying to help. I still expect my payment will arrive sometime next week, (remember, in pesos).

I hope a policy regarding this can get ironed out sometime soon. I would like to be confident in the credibility of this sight. If stuff like this becomes more frequent it could turn into harmony central eventually.

Only slightly back to the "original" topic.....
I found Noguera's site and was amused to find that every word on the site is in French EXCEPT the product names. They have names like Expression, Expression Plus, Fusion, Fairplay, and Evasion. Makes me wonder who the target market is.
Oh.....really nice looking basses.

Could this guy be related to the guy who was going to pay Fodera to expedite his custom build? That thread was a hoot.

yeah, i dig thsi y.c. noguera bass...really cool...haha...i wonder if you send this guy like twice the cost of the instrument you could get it in two maybe three weeks...hahaha...and we could even fly over to his shop and tap wood hahaha
Not saying he's telling the truth (obviously he isnt.), but Im getting a custom Valenti built on top of buying 2 other basses that totalled up to about 1,200 in the past year and I cant afford a TV, or even a cheap stereo. First I bought this Valenti from Nino brown for $750.
Then I found an Ibanez Black Eagle bass which I had spent about 5 years trying to get less than a month later! I ended up getting it for $400 plus tax. I didnt have to pay shipping since I worked at a Guitar Center at the time and had it shipped from a Guitar Center in Chicago with some other gear.
I fell inlove with the sound and feel of my Valenti and decided it suited me better than my G&L L-2500 so I decided to order a 5 string Valenti and sell my G&L. Here's the Valenti as of now.
this guys sei basses also sound a little supicious. ( the ones which were mentioned in the linked thread with his cat) while im sure martin could make the basses he describes, i have never heard of such instruments coming from him.
It should have stood out to me before but isnt a 9 with Lightwave pickups pretty much impossible?
Im pretty sure I read that they werent really being used on extended range instruments since the bridge pieces were too wide to work with so many strings and still be manageable.

Tell me, where did you order the bass and how much do you have to pay for shipping? I've been thinking about ordering a bass from abroad but I don't have any idea about the additional costs.

I don't have details on wood or any minor details yet - not until someone from Noguera contacts me - but I've been thinking of Demeter custom preamp with MIDI and piezo systems (or possibly Lightwave system). Using a graphite reinforced neck and a bolt-on design of my own is under consideration
After the painful waiting period, I'll probably be able to have some pictures of it too, but let's not get too excited yet...oh sod it, let's get excited!
