Yeah, it's a great pedal. Catalinbread makes a bunch of interesting/cool pedals. And they are sold at MoogAudio evelieu *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*... You can just go down there and buy one...![]()
Dammmit!! That place is less then 10 blocks away from where I'm sitting right now!!!
The BB is a RAT on steroids. It sounds great at lower gain settings as well. Really, it sounds great on any setting, but I might be a little partial (and I've only had mine a week). I haven't gotten to use it in a band setting yet, so some one else might can give better advice on that.I asked this question in another thread but there's not much going on in it, so maybe you guys can give me an opinion:
Does anyone have experience of the BB and a Fulltone Bassdrive? Turns out some of the bass tones I like that I assumed were Rats were actually Bassdrives (early Zozobra, Kowloon Walled City). The Bassdrive is probably the only dirt pedal that grabs my interest but I think the BB at lower gain covers the sound in my head.
Anyone familiar with these sounds? Am I off with them being Rat-like? Any thoughts on how these pedals compare? Caleb Scofield moved on to a Rat Tail so can't be too far off I guess...
It sounds good on any setting!Personally if I got a BB low gain wouldn't be a setting I'd even consider. Seems to me the full potential is at high gain. Then again I don't own one so what do I know?
I think the BB gets more evil! But my UD is currently loaned to my guitarist...You all might not know...since I never told anyone about it: 2014 started with me thinking, I wouldn't buy that many pedals this year. Since then I bought (and in some cases returned/sold) a Deluxe Memory Man, a Source Audio Manta, a Darkglass Vintage Deluxe and the Iron Ether Subterranea (granted: I ordered that in November).
And now you've convinced me that I absolutely want to test this against my trusty old Joyo Ultimate Drive for evil distorted tones...
Don't try to hold me back. I already ordered.

I'm going to pretend you didn't say that about the BB!Alright now I have to flip the gamma drive to the other side of the chain and see what comes of it. I didn't use the BB last practice.
I've been runnin' my B3K into the BB. I'll have to try it the other way around. Where are y'all runnin' your fuzz with the BB?I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but the BB into a B3K is maybe the most brutal, gut wrenching thing I've ever heard.
