i finally made the trip out to Action Music in Falls Church, Va (I was working 9 minutes away...), specifically to see the Mothman, and ponder his visions on the world in its current state....
He is so thick, and huge, and ponderously heavy....and actually for sale. I didn't ask the price...I don't even want to know...

His friends said he seemed strangely agitated the weeks before his disappearance. They said he gradually became convinced he was being watched. And later, that he was being followed…

He disappeared without a trace shortly afterwards. He was last seen crossing a pedestrian bridge a short distance from his home.

Eyewitnesses, who were willing to make a statement to the authorities, said he was walking along at a somewhat rapid pace, as if in a hurry to be somewhere. Then he simply vanished. One moment he was walking along in broad daylight surrounded by fellow pedestrians. The next moment, he wasn't there.

Police say the incident remains under investigation and ask anyone who was a witness or has any other information to contact officer Connie Mills of the Point Pleasant police who is conducting inquiries into the incident.
