I reached out and touched....the Mothman...!!!

What I have long feared has come to pass. No matter how hard I try to deny it, the portents were true. The Mothman has reawakened. I had almost convinced myself that what I was seeing in the world was mere coincidence. We 25 had sacrificed so much. Sanity. Relationships. Our souls. Even our lives, in some cases. We all still bear the scars, both mental and physical, from our last experience with the tremendous evil locked within. It seems brutally unfair that now, as those of us who remain begin to enter the twilight of our lives, this unspeakable horror begins to stir anew. We had dared to hope that we had locked the darkness away, but it now seems that that hope was merely delusion. With great sorrow, I now know that I must contact the remaining 25 in hopes that we who had once restrained the darkness can now do so again. I only hope that what abilities we have lost through the passage of time will be balanced by the knowledge we have acquired in the interim. May the gods look favorably upon us as we again prepare to do battle once more with our infernal foe.

He disappeared without a trace shortly afterwards. He was last seen crossing a pedestrian bridge a short distance from his home.

Eyewitnesses, who were willing to make a statement to the authorities, said he was walking along at a somewhat rapid pace, as if in a hurry to be somewhere. Then he simply vanished. One moment he was walking along in broad daylight surrounded by fellow pedestrians. The next moment, he wasn't there.

Police say the incident remains under investigation and ask anyone who was a witness or has any other information to contact officer Connie Mills of the Point Pleasant police who is conducting inquiries into the incident.

'pears to me that someone is trying to start a Mothman mythos (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
