I respect Jauqo III-X completely but...

Did I follow the wrong link in the original post?

I'm listening to a tune called "The Power Of" - It’s fantastic. I like it, and I'm a rock guy. It reminds of Primus. (the guitar more than the bass, but a fretless ERB certainly does also remind me of primus.)
What is with the complaint that it "sounds like they're playing different songs"? What does that mean? Would you prefer everything to be unison? Don't you play with guitar players who solo?

I didn’t find it hard to understand at all. I found it quite listenable.

Jauqo III-X -- That was a GREAT job. I love the track.

Here's the video version.

Yeah but you need a 2nd bassist in the mix doin' the traditional thing.

CHOOSE ME CHOOSE ME CHOOSE ME! Wish my chops were that good!

I've been working on and off in various band situations of my own since the early 80's and on occasion I have had a second bassist. But the role that the second bassist played was pretty much equal to the role that I played in the band, it would be a rhythmic intertwining of groove and melody.

Who the hell is this Jauqo guy anyway ?? What is all this noise he is making?? Let's take away his basses (especially that pretty Fender Fretless Jazz) his amps and especially his cords.
I thought this was a Motown only forum anyway. Off with his head!!!
My meds? no I have not taken them today. Why do you have that straight jacket? No No don't take my computer!!!! AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!:help:

This diatribe was brought to you by Belleville Mental Institution. As you must be mental if you can't understand there is much more music out there than just what you decide to listen to!

:p

Well, here's my opinion on this, the intro seems kind of out of place and so do some parts of the song ,but otherwise I actually like it.
I think it's pretty good :)

,but guys really stop the arguing.

I'm just curious, Jauqo, what would the notes look like on sheet music on your SubContra bass? Starting from the the C# and up?

I would add more distortion tho.....
