I just saw two sell recently, Jeff and LM Bass pm'd me about one in Canada which is probably gone. That sucks about your Metro.
On a happier note, I took the new Brubaker and Elrick out on an early gig this evening. Used my AMP head with the Nahas 1-12 and BE S15-D.
In a word... unbelievable.
The basses sounded phenomenal through my rig. I still can't believe how nice my rig sounds. In a room that held about 300 people, my stage volume was way more than adequate with the AMP set slightly under 4 on both gains, everything else set flat. I ran the basses' preamps flat too and they sounded great. I played the Brubaker the majority of the time and it couldn't have been easier to get a great sound, regardless of how I was playing. Playing 16ths on the B and E just had a physicality to them, you could really feel it. The bass sounds clear AND moves a ton of air too. The lows were all-encompassing when I wanted them to be and super-tight when I locked onto the kick drum. The punch was pretty ridiculous, the kind where bandmembers looked in my direction with big grins on their faces throughout the gig. The contractor on this gig, who was playing keyboards in front of me, kept turning around and looking at the neck and the headstock
Tomorrow I have a more Jazz oriented gig and I'll give the Elrick fretless more of a workout. Today it sounded excellent... full and punchy, very pretty when I played it that way and it even sounded good slapped.
Again, I can't believe how nice my little rig sounds live and these basses too. I hope I never get used to it
