iAmp Micro 300

Our own Bob "urbbob.com" Gollihur is pre-selling them for $529 w/ free shipping.

Bass Northwest is pre-selling for $525 including FedEx ground, with a price match guarantee. Seems like $525-$530 will be the street price, but we'll see what happens if availabilty becomes an issue.
) I have had a Micro 300, WZ 110 and "backpack" on order from Bass Northwest. The choice was made predominantly due to the great reviews that EA gets and my desire to be nice to my severly aching back.
While I completely dig the AI sound, I definitely wouldn't call it flat... but then again that word is so overused it has no meaning anymore... just like "real sleek feel"...
And on the lit-faceplate comment from Jazzdog, it was considered, but it's purely a cost issue.
I hear we're only around a month away? Damn i'm stoked.
I have one on order and can't wait to get it!!!! 
I'm going to be using it with either a Schroeder 1210L or a 1212L. I did try the Eden 260 and it sounded killer, my only problem was that I like the idea of using the Micro 300 as a DI too, and there is no fan on the 300, so it is going to be super quiet. I also tried the iAmp500 and it sounded REALLY GOOD!!! I actually almost bought the 500 but I already have a big beefy amp and I'm in need of a small powerful amp.

I pre-ordered a Micro 300 and am having thought if I wouldn't be better served with a Focus or a contra.I do some doubling and think two channels in one amp is a good way to go but am more concerned with my acoustic sound than electric bass sound(always seems easier to make it work)Any thoughts or advice.Thanks

Bill, you might want to touch bass/base with Bob Gollihur. He is a dealer for AI as well as EA but I don't know if he has had a chance to try the 300 yet.
I actually called Bob when they extended shipping dates on the micro,didn't go into too much detail with him (I have a tendency to ramble and don't want to take to much time out of some ones work day)Good idea tho. maytbe explain whole scenario.Thanks again

Here's a post I dug up that Gary from EA made over on the Dudepit back on May 1st...
Everyone at EA deeply appreciates the patience of our customer base, and we are as frustrated as anyone regarding the delays. Some last minute design upgrades bumped the schedule, but we are now in the production que with our manufacturer. The list of tweaks and upgrades that we have done over the past few months is quite significant. The production 300 is even better than what we introduced at NAMM.
I will not hesitate to delay production any time I do not have the performance confidence that our customers demand, and I trust our customers appreciate my caution. The same goes with John and the Wizzy10 production effort. The Wizzy10 design is ridiculously brilliant and the performance is uncanny. When you look at the size of the Micro300 and the Wizzy10, you really wonder if it will actually work! You be the judge, and please let us know what you think.
By the way, one of the tweaks now lets the amp run at 325 watts into 4 and 2 ohms. Maybe we should change the model to the Micro325? Gary, EA, Inc.

Nope. Very early on I remember Mike Dimin stating that even though it would handle a 2ohm load, the wattage would not increase from it's 4ohm rating (which was 300w at the time).

For clarification:
The Micro 300 is 325 watts @ 4ohms, the same at 2 ohms and 175 at 8 ohms

Thanks for the clarification Mike... Many of us are very excited about the Micro 300/Wizzy combo and are counting down the days till they ship!
