My BTBs making my practice corner look good!
Man those two look sharp together. The BTB isn't for everyone, but those of us who have them usually swear by them. Just picked up my second. In my last round of GAS, I flirted with an SR mostly for budget reasons. Then I remembered that the 35' scale and wider spacing fit me like a glove and said to hell with the budget.
I recently got hold of a BTB200 madly cheap.. brill fun, and it has whetted my appetite to try some higher up models!
Currently sporting a couple of EMG 40s, you might notice the bridge has changed, at least for now; I'm experimenting with power tools and bog-standard bridge bits to get narrower spacings.
I've got it to 18mm so far, but with a couple of 5-strings at 17mm this experiment has some time to run yet..

Actually I own one of these basses. The guy demoing it had the treble set flat for sure at least that's how mine sounds with the treble set in the center position.

Newest member of the family! It joins a SR405QM and my first bass, a Peavey Millennium. This is the 1405. This little sucker has some Boom to it!
I just realized, in conjunction with recently rolling out the 1405 premium that kevbethphx has, they've made some upgrades on the rest of the standard BTB line as well. The 675 (now the lowest model #) now has an upscale battery compartment instead of having to take screws out to switch the battery. Of most interest to me, however, was the addition of a mid-freq selector switch on every BTB. I would freakin' LOVE to have that on my 675M...I missed that upgrade by 6 months. Grrr.
What's that on the right? It looks like a warwick copy with a danelectro neck on it.
I played it last night at our Youth Church and I am just scratching the surface on the tonal capabilities of the 1405! Off the bat, this thing is SICK, I played it the same way as I play my SR405 and found that the pick-up pack a punch which means, lighten up the pick hand or turn the volume down. I did not an IEMs in and where I was positioned, I could tell the house had a deep rumble to it.
If you are considering this, with the upgraded electonics, GO FOR IT, you will not be disappointed!
Picked this up today but there is no model number on the back only the serial and that its MIK. Plays great and sounds GREAT!. Question is, is this a 300? Im fairly sure it is having seen others that look just like it but figured I'd see if I could get a definitive answer.

Yeah that looks like thats what it is. Thanks for the info! Have been looking for a 4 string BTB since I sold the BTB 5 string I had. Really liked that bass but five strings is one too many for me. This may be the low end model but im still happy with how it plays and sounds.
