Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

If your wanting clarity and punch I would recommend the Nordstand Big singles or big Splits. I currently have the big singles on my BTB 1405 and it's the best bass I've ever seen or heard. Awesome combination!

+1 for the big splits.

Ive got them wired in passive, formally had stock Ibanez pups and pre, the difference is amazing.

Honestly, I enjoy having all the range. I play mainly in a progressive rock 3 piece, and with my 9, I can cover a lot of ground.

It's also great for solo work, I had Chris Benavente make this one with 19mm spacing, it's great for slapping, thumping, and anything else.

But I truly love using it in a band context. Depending on your playing style, I think ERBs can really shine in a band, not just solo material.

And to bring this back on topic, I got my BTB Singlecut to add another flavor. I normally only use 34 scale basses, and thought a 35 might be nice to try again.

Only thing that gets me sometimes is that 24th fret. Sometimes I'll be sliding or tapping on the low strings, and I'll go to hit that 24th E and oops.... Not there!!!! 😜

Hey guys. I am going to have to reluctantly sell my 2005 BTB 405 qm 5 ER. I bought it new. It's the transparent black which can sometimes look green and purple or other colors depending in what lights you are under. Anyway. I have it in a reunion blues case padded gig bag( the nicest gig bags made IMO. Can you guys help me with a good starting price to ask for it. I love it and thought we would never part, bit I just acquired a 99 USA peavy cirrus 5

Guys I am at my wits end here. I love my BTB's i have a 6 and a 5. The 6 is a neck thru and the 5 a Bolt on. BUT..... the 6 is LOUD. I mean REALLY LOUD compared to my 5. Both have Barts both have 18v Pre's.. any suggestions? I'll have to find the exact models (at work atm) but the volume discrepancy between them both is huge. Spit balling hoping to find someone with a similar situation.

Here is a picture of me playing my new BTB 1405e for one of the first times. For the life of me I can't understand why more people haven't posted about these bass. They are amazing and worth a lot more money than they ask. Best bass I've ever owned.

I think all bart ntmb pres have the trim, could be wrong

The NTMB has a trimpot. I installed one in my BTB675 to replace the Bart-designed preamp that came stock.

The factory preamp didn't have a trimpot that I can see but there's a bunch of foam stuck to one side of the preamp and I haven't bothered to peel it off to see what's underneath.

Do the recent 675's have an NTMB stock?
