Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

Well here's mine: BTB305FM. All original hardware, great shape minus that one chip on the top of the body. Love this thing.

Question though: Anyone know the string spacing at the bridge for these? I was assuming 19mm like the new ones because I couldn't find it anywhere online until I found this: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] But 16.5mm seems way too small, so now I'm just confused o_O Also if the nut width isn't really 45mm either, please let me know

And I guess I'll take a number if that's still a thing...

In...after a hiatus from playing bass (I actually sold off all my basses (again :***::eek::confused:))...I'm back :hyper::bassist:!! THIS time I promise not to sell off any more basses :woot::thumbsup:.

Always loved the 7-string and the tone I've heard from these while doing my research so I pulled the trigger on Monday. It should be here in a few more days.

BTW...Sweetwater was really awesome to deal with. Tomir from Sweetwater was helpful during the process.

I'll try and post the pic again when I am at my computer. Although it isn't my bass any more. :jawdrop:

I got it and it was damaged in shipping. One of the pots was damaged and there was a funky issue with the tone/pickup on the B-string. I sent it back and am waiting on the replacement.

The awesome thing is that Sweetwater has been amazing through this whole process.

I'll post an updated pic when the bass arrives.

Finally upgraded from my Mexican P bass to a BTB. This is the BTB 1605 Premium. Beautiful to play, gorgeous to look at. Looks heavy, but suprisingly not. It has great clarity, speaks very easy. I'm running it through my old Roland Studio-100 cab. I stretched out the funds to go the premium, because i knew i would kick myself later if i just bummed out on a standard, even though they are still nice. I was thinking of changing out the controls to gold to match the tuners & bridges, but thought it could be hard to get the same colour gold. On the other hand, the black sorta blends in as tho they are knots in the burl.
Only complaint, i wish the battery box wasn't stuck in the middle of the neck, taking away from its "thru-ness". Why didn't they plan it better and stick it in the wing, or in the EQ compartment.

Seriously considering a BTB1405. Haven't played on but have played several models below in the line up.

I have questions for you owners out there..

Are the body contours the same as say the BTB675? I have played that model several times and like it but am not sure if I could get used to the angled contours. I'm thinking with the Nordstrands being smaller width pickups my hand would be positioned a little differently.

Has anyone directly compared the two?

Can anyone out there in TB land help me?

All the neckthru BTB's have the same body's. There natural wood, I would sand around the edges and smooth it out a little and then just put a couple of coats of tung oil finish back on it. Problem solved and it's fun to work on your Bass guitars too.
