Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

I have old BTB 456 bolt on - 6 strings and the spacing string is 3/4 at bridge - 19mm.
I don't think BTB 6s are 17.5mm.
I know they say that on their website, but mine is 19mm, and i did read some post
from BTBs owners saying 19mm.
All my basses are 19mm and scale 35.
Btw i had in my life 12 Ibanez BTBs. 2-6s and 10-5s. Just this one is keeper.

Unfortunatly I don't own it, but I did play one a while ago I'm still not 100 % sure if I will use the high F string and therefore I'm having my doubts to buy it. But it's a great bass guitar with a very smooth neck. At first, it might be a bit weird to manouvre around on the neck, but after a few minutes, it feels great. Heck, you wouldn't even say it a 7 string bass guitar! The sound is great : clear, a bit punchy and enough ways to get your own sound with the 3 band EQ. If you can buy one, go for it! it's well worth the investment!

Hello Thomas--
That is a beauty!! How are you liking the BTB7 after having it a while? I am interested in getting one and would love the feedback from an actual owner.
Thanks.

Dunlop Super Bright Nickels are amazing if you like lighter tension and a SS sound at first. They die after a month of heavy playing in my case though. Not good or bad, about average.

I love Fodera stainless strings generally, but was really impressed with the stock Elixers that came with the bass. Much better feel than the older Elixers IMO.

I am very likely just going to stick with Elixers once my last set of Dunlops dies on my Terra Firma 6er.

Quick question. I just picked up a BTB780PB.

Can anyone tell me what the knobs do? From what I understand (from the neck to the bridge) the top is Volume and Balancer. The third one I'm not sure.
The bottom two are boost/cut knobs. There's a piezo in the bridge saddles, so I'm wondering how to control them? Is that the knob nearest the bridge?

Thanks in advance.

I've been infatuated with single-cut basses since seeing Tye Zamora's in AAF's video for Smooth Criminal, and since Ibanez released the Terra Firma, I want one bad.. I think I might even (eventually) skip buying a 5-string and go for the 6. I love the look and sound of it.

That's saying a lot coming from me, considering I never could really stand Ibanez basses apart from the ATK. The Terra Firma just doesn't look like a typical Ibanez.
