Ibanez SR750 Set Up Problems.

You have an SR750BSF. They were made with the black knobs until 2012 when they were changed to gold. It has an EQB-IIIS preamp. Here's some info from an old Sweetwater listing: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SR750BSF

Here are some general specs from that page:

Ibanez SR750 4-string Electric Bass Features:

Found it on page 58: one way, the center frequency is 250 Hz - which when boosted gives more cajones & drive, and the other way the center frequency is 600 Hz, which when cut gives the slap contour.

Conversely, if you are playing in a situation where the mix is really muddy, in spite of best efforts, cutting a little at 250 Hz can help clarity. Boosting at 600 will give you grind.

The mid freq switch simply gives two centerpoint frequency choices (parametric) @ 250Hz (up) & 600Hz (down). Most people (including me) prefer the switch in the up position from what I've read in the Ibanez Club, and the Soundgear Club threads.

That is a huge forum, holy moly. It is a fantastic bass thus far, I have been experiencing with different strings actually, as I originally read some people hated the elixir strings on it, and I don't mind them that much. I love it. And as far as I can read, mine seems to be a limited edition model as I cannot find too much about it

Pictures of the bass are at the begging of the thread. Limited edition may not be the correct term, but I don't know what else to call it when a google search of the model number bring up people discussing it in TalkBass, and others saying they also cannot find much about it. It just seems odd

How did I space on that? According to the serial number its a 2012 made in Indonesia like most of the SR line. Great bass.
