James, have you ever checked out "Bass Culture"? I don't remember the author's name, but he finished up a project that he and the Ox were working on to publish a book w/ his collection. I picked up a copy of it off Amazon (I wound up giving it to my bass playing son for his birthday - his first case of GAS). Entwistle's collection was not to be believed (including one of the first FIVE P basses), some of his Warwicks' were flat-out gorgeous). Also, the picture of JE's bar, complete w/ 7 or 8 Warwick's hanging off the back of all the barstools...BASS ENVY.

(Note to other bass players: I know that I could've just PM'd James w/ this info, but I figured I'd share the love).

I know I probably did this a while back, but its nice to rethink things sometimes

(in no order)

1. Musicman Sterling HS with a red flame maple top that fades to black around the edges...I got the idea of the top for a bass posted in the TB bass calendar thread
2. Fender P/J - either an aerodyne or an older style - black with either a gold or blue perloid pick-guard
3. Bee Stinger - 7 string
4. Wal Mach I/II 4 string
5. Ric 4003
6. Bongo HH 6 string
7. My grandfathers 1970's Gibson EB-3 - I learned to play on it and I love it.
8. MIM/MIA Jazz that I could upgrade and mod at my leisure - I have one and I like it, but I'd like a black body instead of a red one...
9. My Ibanez EDA90F - the most comfortable bass I've ever had, and as it is a 5 string fretless it is my main go-to bass right now. I just need to replace the electronics to really make it shine.
10. Ibanez SR905 strung DADGC - that would kick A$$

So I'm on my way to having them all - I probably wont ever have the ric or the wal, but thats ok. I'll probably get the P-bass soon-ish (it would fit really nicely in the band I just joined), and then start saving up either for the Bee or the MM.
