I'd probably skip the collection and create the following monsters:
[] Short scale, narrow string width-16mm, dual/single coil, series/parallel switch, phase switched, passive wired 4 or 5 string bass with rosewood fingerboard, and Precision body.
[] Long scale, narrow string width-16mm, dual/single coil, series/parallel switch, phase switched, passive wired 4 or 5 string bass with rosewood fingerboard, and Modern body.
(No neck dive) (Master volume, Pickup blend, no tone control)
That should about cover all bases / basses:
Humbucker mud, single coil chime, out of phase noise canceling, quacktone, and so forth.
Use pull potentiometers for the switches to keep clutter down.
