Since most of the great bass lines were performed on a fender precision bass, that would have to be the number ONE bass. Now let's see what would be number two. How about a precision bass with a jazz bass bridge pickup added. There, that's it! The perfect two bass setup.

1) alder/rosewood P-bass with a B or C neck and a humcancelling J pickup added

2) maple board stingray 5.

Add a sadowsky outboard to even out the levels, and thats all you'd ever really need.

To tell you the truth, I hate the old thing, but my wife thinks it's purty, and won't let me sell it. There's no accounting for taste, I suppose.

If your fretted Zon is in the way, you could send it to me. My wife would probably like it, too.
