Marcus Miller, to get my slapping technique in order. 
Flea, for intensity and stamina.
Stefan Lessard for bass line composition. He writes some pretty amazing stuff (when you actually turn up the bass and can hear it!)

For me, it would have to be Richard Bona. And most of the lesson would be about how to fill in rhythmically and his ghost notes technique.
Marcus Miller without a doubt. I'd want to work on style, slapping, making the funk happening, soloing, and just plain grooving, ghost notes, rythmic stuff.

Okay okay. Steve Digiorgio. I've met him, and he did do the bass solo to "Through the Eyes of Greed" about a foot from my face when he was onstage with Sadus, but all that really taught me was that my pants can in fact be creamed very quickly.

i guess that maybe Janek would be the one i am most after, if i lived in NYC or he was in the UK i would be there every chance his schedule permitted.

not solo bass material but bass players that can solo, and well.
as far as im concerned being able to play bass is more than just playing bass if you get what i mean, if i can take a mean solo or lead a band from the bass chair all the better, doesnt mean you have to do it all the time though

It's a shame that Marcus is only known as a solo bassist. He was and still is a session bassist, a musical director, band leader, producer, and has written a few film scores.
If I had all day with him I think he has a lot more to offer than how to slap and solo.
