I'd find a new hobby. Or maybe I'd be doing the housework I should be doing instead of playing the bass.

Well I've lost all gigs since covid19. Why play anything?
Either you're as old as I am or you're REALLY into 1950s television!Just be authentic. You know, the Real McCoy
I would shift focus to improving on the banjo. But if I wanted to play in in a band in front of people, I would learn keys and probably be able to join any local band I wanted due to keyboard players being rarer than common sense these days.I am curious to hear from TBers what instrument you would choose if for some obscure reason you can't ever play the bass again? No physical limitations. Just no more Bass.
(I know, blasphemy)

I enjoy preparing for and performing for a live audience of those that appreciate music. Money is clearly the lesser motivation.Money has got to be the poorest of all reasons to play any instrument
