I do use other strings here and there, but those are the gold standard to me, and they are on most of my basses.

High tension, thick, long lasting (only get better with age IMO), perfect tone for me. They just feel, and sound, like home.
 
Many basses and only type of strings for me, DR Fat Beams admittedly they only come in full scale so the double balls and shorties get other strings. Though I am at a point where I'm getting to a definitive group of basses and I am entertaining the idea of experimenting with strings for different sounds. The main basses that get played as my gigging basses will still have the DRs though.
