Back in ye olden tymes of ice cream parlours, my uncle Ned would go into town after dinner Saturdays to get dessert. He'd ask the soda jerk to scoop out the last bits of the almost-empty tubs, no matter the flavours, and pack it into a take-away half-gallon.

No matter what he came home with, he'd call it "Holiday Pudding."
