I'll never record again, ever.

Back when I played guitar mostly, I used to download these really cool backing tracks of songs I loved. Old rock tunes that were done with some midi program that had drums, bass, sometimes some keys or vocals or additional guitar tracks. They were made to jam on the guitar with. I would dump the backing track into Cool Edit or something similar and then start adding guitar tracks. I thought I was a rock God. I thought they sounded really bad---. I would have a friend come over and we would add vocals to them. The computer they were on suffered a power supply issue and I didnt listen to the tracks for fro about five years. One day I fixed the computer and the first thing I did was go back and listen to them. Man, I was a really horrible guitar player.

If you really wanna stick it to the man you'll record yourself doing covers while staring eerily into the camera and post a new one every day.

I think it would be best if I were naked & the camera just barely misses my "personal zone" :bassist:

One thing for sure....anyone that has the balls to criticize another player in derogatory terms is probably a lesser player than they think.

When you have been around awhile you soon realize there is always someone better than you and it's best to not judge to harshly.

Don't fret over such people and don't be worried about recording again.

Wow. Just wow.

Well, to be fair "butthurt" stems from being violated in a non-traditional sort of way.

I'm confused about this thread. Is something taken out of context here? I don't think anyone should criticize another's playing unless it's constructive.

I haven't recorded as much as a sneeze in over a year & I was wondering if others were in the same boat & if they had a reason.

If I heard myself play, or god forbid, sing, I would quit. I much prefer having my wife lie to me about how much I'm improving.

Maybe in a year or so if I keep it up.
