I'll never record again, ever.

Yeah, that's not personal at all!
I'll never record audio or video of myself playing ever again, and the encouragement here has helped me solidify that.

What are your reasons for being discouraged from recording?
By taking that guy's comments to heart you have allowed an external source to eliminate one more reason to continue playing bass. No matter how awful you think you sound, if you dig it, why not keep doing it? Record away, just don't post it.

I would be inclined to agree with you, in that it seems some are out to contradict others, even if it means bringing a little mini personal attack to prove their point.

I didn't say I was going to stop playing. I haven't recorded anything in a year.
When I finally picked it up again, I decided I wasn't going to play for anyone but myself, but getting the snide, snarky pokes at my hearing & those year-old recordings is getting pretty damn old.

I mention that only because prior threads of yours have alluded to you possibly quitting, unless I misunderstood. Regardless, DLTBGYD.

Instead of complaining about TB critiquing your ability, perhaps you should be practicing? That's the only way I know how to improve.

If you're happy with your ability, then either don't post recordings or be prepared for others to critique them. Especially if that's why you posted a recording in the first place.

It's easy to just complain about someone else & difficult to put in the time & actually improve, assuming that's what you want to do.
