I agree with Jive1 that they still accomplished something by putting a band together and taking it to a gig

Guys, relax, the singing, I agree. I bet these guys have like never played a song before, and just put together a band for the heck of it, (Notice the low quality of the instruments) and still probably don't know what to REALLY do with their instruments.
So the singing, sure, it made my ears bleed too, but for being newbie newbies, they wern't THAT bad.

Low quality of instruments? You can *hear* they have bad instruments? From that far away, they could be playing 10.000 or $10 gear and I probably wouldn't know 
Newbie nor not - can't they hear what they sound like. It's like driving a car for the first few times. You KNOW you're not good at it just yet. You don't turn your "skills" loose on an unsuspecting public like that until your more practiced. Someone could get hurt - lol.

But you're in a car with "Driver's Ed" on top. People usually get out of your way.
First.... we don't really know that's a gig per se, do we? I mean sure... they have a sound man who walked on stage in red nut-huggers and handled the dude's guitar while he was playing, and then later some other guy walked in front of the camera who seemed to be siffling a laugh.... and yes, they are playing on a decent enough stage.... but this almost has to have been some VERY early rehearsal or lead singer tryout... right? RIGHT???
I mean there wasn't even a mercy clap at the end. The instrumentalists were very bad... but the singer added a whole new level of suck - beyond that which was known to previously exist.

Holy ****!!! I couldn't imagine that things could deteriorate THAT much...
There's a simple principle: everyone in a band has to know his part perfectly before starting rehearsals of a song, if you can't play it - DON'T PLAY IT!!! Play "Smells like teen spirit" instead!!!
