Impending 2014 purchases

Good luck with that! How many years have gone by and you have not bought nothing?
Since the new millenium started, probably none ;) I somehow end up buying a little something if I don't have any major gear purchases. But I had so many major gear purchases last year that I'll be lucky to get a pedal or two this year. I'm good on basses, that's for sure!

I just pulled the trigger on this Fender Cabronita Telecaster;

Been looking for a guitar for a while, but this wasn't even on my radar. Then I watched several YouTube demos, read reviews, etc. and got a great deal from Prymaxe. Should be here tomorrow!

Basses: Oh good heavens, bass GAS was on fire in 2013. I really need to start selling or trading or something. :( Trouble is, there is not a thing wrong with any of these basses. Then there's the new G&L LB-100. I'm thinking sonic blue, vintage tint #8 neck with ebony fretboard, matching headstock...:help:

Amps: Nada. Eden, Ashdown and Tech 21 are totally floating my boat. OK, maybe a Tone Hammer just to see what all the fuss is about.

Cabs: Nope. Current GK, Aggie and Ashdown have got it covered. Unless an Eden XLT happens along.

Pedals: Now that I'm playing out at church and in a blues band, I need a good Blame Shifter. Let me know if you see one for sale. :hiding:

I'm looking to buy nothing ;)

Seriously.

I'd love to get a Stambaugh 6-string in the hopper and get an acoustic upright, but I really, really, really don't need them. I'm very satisfied with what I have bass, amp, pedal, and recording-wise.

If I start playing more gigs on electric I may pick up a Line6 G50, could maybe use one of those SKB Mil-spec ATA cases, and maybe new pickups for my P. Maybe a *really* cheap cello if it fell into my lap.

How about "anticipated purchases" instead of impending ones?... (it just makes bass purchasing/GAS relief sound so negative and doomish). :D

Perhaps a Yamaha BB1025X in Black or Tobacco Brown...I may have to negotiate with an interested second party for it. :hmm:

I'm hoping for a bass purchase this year. It's been a few years since I last got myself something. So, I'm trying to save up for at least one of the following:

1) A new body for my old import Charvel. I'm considering a Z-body from Warmoth in Black Cherry Metallic, which I think would look awesome with the current tinted-maple fretboard and pointy headstock.

2) A Musicman Stingray. Modern body style, Single pickup, 2-band EQ, Maple fretboard, Black pickguard, Black Cherry Burst finish.

3) Ibanez BTB-1405E. Because I need to add a 5-string at some point.

4) Gibson EB bass in Fireburst. Because I never thought I'd ever want a Gibson bass. Then they made this.

5) A Warmoth '72 P-bass build. Swamp Ash body, Transparent Gold finish, The Creamery Classic '58 pickup, standard Gotoh bridge, black/white/black pickguard, volume, tone, side-mounted jack. Maple neck with vintage tint satin finish.

Picking up a red Yamaha Attitude deluxe on thursday, but most of my purchases will be studio related, new mixer, upgrade the computer, etc. but I may pick up a few new axes if they fall into my lap as they usually do
