+1 to all the positive comments. He shares his vast knowledge with everyone, including weekend warriors like me. But I do wonder where he finds the time to write all those posts, travel as much as he does, play bass for a living and practice enough to keep getting work.

Working hypothesis: He types 1,000 words per minute or better.

Jimmy's a guy who always gives an informed and honest response, but doesn't act like he has anything close to all the answers. You can have confidence that he's not trying to hear what's not there or exaggerating subtle differences. I love what he brings to TalkBass. And he seems like a great guy too
