Inglourious Basterds

Pfft... with all due respect, sounds like someone expecting to hate before they went in. Tarantino movies are meant to be nothing more than entertainment fast food: you know-have fun and dont take too seriously? I cant say that there is one of his movies that is a mind-blowing favorite, but I usually get a kick out of them anyway. To each his own...

I wanted to like the movie. It looks great from the trailer. From the trailer I went into the movie thinking it could either be a great action movie or he could play up the ridiculous part of the story and make it more of a comedy. But in the actual movie, the action is few and far between and several serious parts were unintentionally funny, but there were few if any laughs for my wife and I. Unless it went completely over our heads, the "entertainment fast food" just wasn't there for me.

I regret sitting in the middle of the packed theater as I probably wouldn't have finished the movie if I'd been on the aisle.

I saw it last night. It was defiantly very funny at parts. There were times though when it was just boring. I liked it though. The gore was rediculous to me. This movie is not for those weak in the stomach.
I didn't personally think it was unreasonable, but could see how the squemish might have issue with a couple shots.

Saw it last night, good movie. Really threw me for a loop at the end when just when you're trying to figure out how it'll all come together and then BAM! Darth Vader turns out to be Luke's father. Definitely caught me by surprise.

First movie I've liked Brad Pitt in.

The movie will either be a bit tedious for some or just right for others in terms of pacing and dialogue, depending on their mental proclivity towards such things.

Colonel Landa [the "jew hunter"] stole the show. What other films has he been in?
