That singlecut is great looking and the price is right, but I know I am really a six string guy, and 11 lbs. is pretty heavy.

I knew when I saw this bass that it was for me. Short of being semi-acoustic (like Thundercat's bass) it is my ideal instrument. I was in luck, my local Long & McQuade had one in stock. I picked it up last night. I haven't put it down other than to change the strings to TI Jazz Flats.

There's one of these beauties at one of my local shops. Every time I walk in and see it, my heart skips a beat. For that reason, I refuse to even pick it up. I can't really afford it right now, and honestly don't even have a need for it. But it's just gorgeous.
Ibanez dropped the prices on these... so if you want one, now is the time!

I'm not much for the "stretched" single cutaway style, but I love the double cutaway BTB shapes. Ought to play my 6er more.
I may get around the pictures soon. I'm in the process of making a ramp for it right now, I have a temporary polystyrene one at the moment.. I also installed a Hipshot Xtender on the low B.
Be interested to hear impressions of how these sound in a band mix and if they are all 11 lbs.
I ordered the 6 string version yesterday and should have it early Jan.
I have played a few of them and the ones I played were great sounding/playing and didn't seem to be over 10lbs.

I will definitely get an ebony ramp made for mine. All of my basses except my old Fenders have ramps. They may not look great to some, but I love playing with them.
