Interesting Bass on the Bay

By the serial # this bass may be earlier than '75. What do you think the odds are that that is the original neck?
This looks like a really challenging and interesting restoration project, the strap hook situation is tragic.

Yea, it sure is bad. I'm just curious what that bass looks like under all the 80's "enthusiasm".

Where's that serial number being pulled from? Under the neck? Something about that bass just doesn't look right to me, and it isn't just the paint job.

Someone really personalized it.

That price would get you a mid-70s P Bass in VGC with most if not all original parts and case.

i don't know if i'd use the word 'interesting' to describe it. 'ugly' or 'messed up' might be a little more accurate.

I'm not convinced it actually is a fender. Coud be a "rock" bass with fender neck plate and tuners added for all I can tell. Lmao.
