anti-virus are a funny thing. I think there are certainly some that are better than others, but I dislike the argument that if a new one finds something it is instantly better. Who is to say that the new anti-virus will find everything the old one did?
Personally I have used AVG for years, but I've had experience with Avast too and liked it.
I haven't tried this Microsoft Security Essentials at all, I am curious to see how it holds up.
A Mac.
Or this if you have an extra 1200$
Wasn't being facetious, new mac costs around 1200$ or so, doesn't it?Hatred can hate, but I have used Macs since 1986 and have had one crash. One sad face. Thats it. They work. I don't need to think about anything but what I'm doing. I don't need to load crap, I plug in and go. Wormy every penny for ease of use a piece of mind.
We have an iMac desktop, an iPod, an iPad (will get another when the next version comes out) and are waiting for our contract to expire so we can get iPhones. I wouldn't quite call us fanboys, but we certainly know a good thing when we see it.
The virus stuff is icing on the cake.

I'd disagree. In the context of the OP's question, "What anti-virus are you using?", just posting the two word response "A Mac" without further expansion is fairly obvious trolling.

Floyd Eye, I've already used the post report function for that one - I'm sure one of my mod colleagues for OT will deal with it shortly. Could I ask that you don't quote posts that are out of line? It makes cleaning up harder. Just report them (use the little red triangle at the top right of the post). Thanks.
(No big deal about your first post in the thread, by the way. It came over as a little trollish given some of the exchanges that often take place on the topic. If that wasn't your intention, no problem.)
Kaspersky is what I've been using the last couple of years.
Another vote here for Microsoft Security Essentials here.
