Double Bass Interresting way of using the french bow

I love that he's using a glasser, tightened to a ridiculous degree. He also can't pull a sound, as if there's no rosin on the bow.

Perhaps the theory is it takes a beginner to teach a beginner.

One of my friends discovered this video a few months ago and spent the next few days learning the piece. He played it for pretty much everyone in the department over the course of the week. One of the most glorious things I have ever seen, to be sure.

The "teacher" seems like a confident guy, but clearly has ZERO experience using a bow. Embarrassing, that he's not even embarrassed or aware of how awful he sounds!
