Crest because I can still buy the plain old basic toothpaste with no whitener and no tartar control (I react to both) and it doesn't taste gross like the brands in the health food store do.

Dishwasher or wash them yourself?

Half acre lot. Have flowerbeds and garden, but it's not "landscaped," though the dogs try to do their own landscaping occasionally.

Do you have a garden and if so, what do you grow? (Apartments count too. I grew vegetables in windowboxes on my balcony for a few years.). If not, what would you grow if you did?

No, but I use corning ware. (Lol, sorry. Couldn't resist!)

Friends did but my mom wouldn't buy for me. I did get painters pants though.

Is August a bad allergy season in your part of the country?

The spell-checker.

In my current graduate course, we have to turn in 80% of the homeworks or get an F for the course. None of them are graded, other than a precursory look to see if we are attempting them. Is this a ridiculous request from the professor? After all, if I demonstrate mastery of the material on an exam, what difference does it make whether I did a 30-page assignment or not?

Dont get me started. I always felt that homework was useless, so long as one can master the material. If schools ascribed to my point of view, Id have graduated at the top of my class. But, since homework usually made up anywhere from 35 - 60% of the grade, my grades were not quite so hot. So, is it a ridiculous request? Yes, if youre going to assign homework, then have someone grade it.

What your least favorite part of formal education?

I dislike being lumped in with everyone else. The teacher has to teach at a given speed, which is typically to the middle percentage of the class, or the slowest student. While I'm not always the fastest, it can be annoying to have a slow lecture. A better solution would be to have a list of material, the student learns it on his/her own, and then demonstrates mastery, with assistance from the professor as needed.

Do you engage in self-destructive behavior?
