Cast iron Dutch oven followed closely by SS mixing bowls

Expensive knives or cheap? I find I prefer the regular old Dexter Russel white handled commercial knives that cost between 15 & 25 bucks or the cheapies from Ikea to my Henkels or any other expensive knife brand, ceramic included....

The oven. (gas operated).

When people gripe about not being able to afford good food, and knowing how little money is required to prepare food from scratch - do you view those people as lazy idiots?

Darn - gas slipped my mind!

Case by case. Some are lazy, some are busy, some get stressed out, and some just don't have the skills needed.

Knives? I have a few Cutco knives that I was obliged to buy and found that I really, really like. Better than my Chicago Cutlery set. I get very annoyed with cheap knives that dull quickly. Someday I'd like to some REALLY good knives, but I doubt I'd actually put the money into them.

Oh yes, the question. Do you carry a pocket knife with you?

I dont generally have deadlines, but the answer would be yes. I should be working (and I am inbetween posts) but Im in not too great a mood and in serious need of social interaction, and the people at my work are lame.

Do you socialize with others at work, or are you the stay to yourself type?

Depends on the job and the people. Too much socializing on the last job but don't foresee much at all on the next job. Overall I tend to keep to myself though. My ideal job would be to give me an office with a computer, close the door, leave me alone and let me work. But I'd have to surface occasionally to chat with someone.

Do you prefer a desk-type job or not?

I was being "gregarious" while trying to type that hahaha drat it all!!

I'm pretty gregarious. I work with a LOT of pretty amazing people so a very very low "lame factor" for me.

I have a desk job that also affords me the ability ( it's required actually ) to wander my work place and touch bases with many departments and many of my "guys". So, I prefer this job :D A hybrid, if you will.

I'm looking for a new BBQ sauce recipe ( or bottle ) Any suggestions? It's for a mixed party ( kids / adults ) so spicy would not be a good choice.

You saying I got a lame factor?

(:-))

Btw, I got an awesome recipe good for all. It'll take few minutes.

Ok. I usually at least double this. It's simple, but it's my kids' favorite.

1/4 C packed brown sugar
1/4 C ketchup
2 T soy sauce
2 T hoisin sauce
1 T dry sherry
2 garlic cloves minced
