Got close to doing the same, twice, but held off because I was not exactly sure how I would use it, and something else--something I like--would have to go to make room. Still, would be great to have, even if just for fun.

Patiently waiting for another Oxide to show up...How often do Oxides pop up in the Classifieds?
About twice a month. Usually gone the first day, so act quickly if one come up. Also, I'd keep an eye on the Iron Ether shop - ironether.com/shop. Taylor has offered a few new Oxides for sale over the past month. Again, these usually go within minutes.

You can, but only what is in stock in the IE shop. Pedals sell off a few minutes after they are posted.
I have one I'd sell or trade if you haven't found one yet. It has top mounted jacks.

Try the frantabit after the xerograph...
I've had very interesting results with sample rate reduction after a filter, it really brings out the vocalisation of the filtet if you find just the right freq to sample at... Though the effect was less pronounced when i tried the frantabit as sample rate device
