Hi,
I have a few pedals on the way, including 4 IE and I'm figuring out how all of them will get powered on my DC8.

Anyone know how much mA these bad boys need? Any issues daisy chaining them?

Subt
Oxide
Polytope
Xerograph Deluxe


I'm planing on having 100 mA split between the subt and something else, then using a 3 point daisychain powering the oxide, polytope and xero D. That daisy chain would be on either 300mA or 100mA 9v isolated outlet. I think that will work nicely.

but I could also just use 2 spliters for these 4 on a few 100mA and daisychain the rest on a 300mA...

Suggestions?

Sign me up for the society, happy owner of a Nimbus and a Polytope.

Btw, since we're discussing how to provide power, I use a 1 Spot to power all of my pedals (including PT Echolution, Aggy Octamizer, DG VMT, a POG2, and TCE tuner). My Nimbus is second to last in the chain and it sometimes seems like it's overloading. Could it be related to not getting enough power? Or is it possible to push too much signal through the pedal? It ends up sounding distorted, or what I can only describe as 'sheeting' sound. Taylor actually replaced my original, first gen body-style Nimbus, but he couldn't duplicate the problem. It's only happening slightly with the new one. Any thoughts?

Right on, thanks Taylor. I think it's the POG2. I need to figure out how to get the effect out of that pedal that I want without unduly boosting the volume.

Hi,
That song was playing on the Buzz this morning just as I arrived at the office. I'm gonna work on it this weekend with my subt>oxide>ZeroD. I'm pretty sure I can make a convincing BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT! It'll be the first time I really play with all 3, I'm not sure where to start but I expect it to be a fun weekend for sure!

I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll post it here. The bass signal is dry through my Demeter head, but all the keys went through my pedal board, two tracks of which went through my Polytope, amongst other things (Pigtronix Echolution, Darkglass VMT). I used the Polytope extensively on most of the tracks on my soundcloud page.

Just found and bought a Xero (non-dlx) in little ol' New Zealand (where I live) for the equivalent of $60 US. Very very happy. Now I just need to find a SubT to go with the Oxide I already have - for a simple, killer synth setup.

I don't care where in the world the SubT comes from.
