how is it compared to a regular frantabit - did you end up using all the extra features? I generally use my frantabit with a expression pedal so i can blend in some affected sounds (which I love). thx

I've never used the regular one, but it's an absolutely wild pedal

Having two sounds to switch between is super useful imo

Putting it in the next smallest size enclosure that would work, there would be .6" or 15mm space between the footswitches. Your shoes would need to be less than 2 inches wide (50mm) to hit the middle switch without hitting the other two.

I'm not out here tryna brag too hard, but my feet are somewhat larger than that, don't know about y'all. Perhaps I'll make a version just for pointy toe shoes some day.

What is the current enclosure for the Subterrograph, Dubterrograph, Super FrantaBit, and Super Arcing Prisms? 1590XX?
And what is the next smallest size enclosure which would work?

It appears like this essentially allows for 2 "analog presets" to be toggled back and forth. Would it at all be possible to have digital presets that you could configure with a larger enclosure? Something like the XD could really benefit from that with all of the knob changes for different tones and envelope up vs down.

I second this. A Xerograph Deluxe implemented like the JAM Delay Llama Xtreme or any of the analog Chase Bliss pedals. Yes.

Digital control of an analog circuit would be such an R&D effort, I feel

Yes, best not to reinvent the wheel but collaborate with companies already doing this. I don't expect Taylor do actually do it, but I agree with @warptheory this would be a useful revision of the Xerograph Deluxe v2.

I seem to remember that the XD is a digital circuit, but can't verify that. If it is digital, then it's a bit easier, but still a big R&D effort.
It is. I think only the Subterranea and Oxide are analog. Maybe the Mostly Elevators, too? I believe the FrantaBit, Dubterranea, Nimbus, FMeron, and Arcing Prisms are digital. Not sure about the Divaricator or Polytope.

I totally get why people would want that, but that kind of thing isn't something I have any plans for. I'm not allowed to talk specifically about any other maker's wares, but I just prefer the type of interface you see on my pedals, where there are no multi-mode knobs that control different parameters and the parameters are always doing what the knobs are physically set to.

But y'know, there are like 10,000 pedal builders out there so that everyone can find the kind of thing they're looking for. I've been at this long enough now that I know my pedals can't be everything to everyone, just what they are for the people who like that. :)

And I appreciate that.

The MXR Bass Synth, for example, while it has presets, and secondary AND tertiary controls for each knob, you do have to remember what each knob does in each mode and how to save, overwrite, clear, and move presets around. Yes, there is no menu diving or external software needed to operate the pedal, but you do have to know the secret handshake to get full use of it. There is no solution that doesn't have it's own set of trade-offs.

All of this makes for a kaleidoscope of offerings from different makers with their own spin on not only the sounds/tones, but also more the point, the interface.

It's a great time to be a pedal nerd.

All I know is that I got hella compliments from some musicians, and other folks, in the crowd at a cover band gig Saturday night; turned on the FMeron to drop some Moog-like tones on Holiday by Madonna, and then used the SubT for some nasty synth bass on Pink Pony Club. Bros were literally coming over to look at my pedalboard mid-song to see what the hell I was doing LOL.

Nobody could believe each of those sounds only came from a single pedal. Keep on doing that good thing @Taylor Livingston :)

First time trying all 3 of my IE pedals on the board at once. Should be a fun jam.

Man, I love that pink sparkle finish for the FMeron, but I don't need a second one, and spent a while on the hunt for one of the older hand-painted pedals. Not getting rid of that one, so I'll have to enjoy all that sparkly pink goodness vicariously through you beautiful, sonic maniacs!
Yeah I love that pink sparkle too but don’t need a second one either. It sure calls to me though!
